Thanks to Talbot's and Red Chair Confessions, I have the trouser fit jeans and the slim leg ankle jeans. I'll be posting outfit pics in the future.
Do any of the styles look interesting to you?
Do you own or have you tried on Talbot's jeans?
Would you be open to trying their new styles?
#3 calls to me the most - the signature bootcut. I want a lower waist (so not heritage, based on the description anyway).
ReplyDeleteI have denim trousers already from Gap, so I don't really need a second pair.
Ankle/slim ones didn't really do it for me when I tried them out from Banana Republic this summer. They weren't flattering in the rear either (though that could be brand specific).
My favorite pair of jeans is a darker denim from Gap - it's somewhere between straight leg and slim boot cut, so they're great with heels or dressed down. I don't think they make that style anymore, so I'm trying to take great care of them until I find another pair I like as much!
I'll have to try Talbot's at some point - Their jeans do look really high waisted... hopefully they won't be too high for me. I usually have the petite/regular dilemma too, at 5'2".
Today I was inspired by the black top Ema blogged about, so I hit Talbots on my way home. I took a quick look around the store and decided to try on a couple of things that stood out for me, like I did here.
ReplyDeleteI first tried on the Lace Sheath dress in the same fabric as the top Ema described on her blog, in a size 4P. I would have tried a size 2 regular, but this was the smallest size in the store. This dress is made of cotton and it is fully lined. I am 5'6", FYI.
